Mechanical Assembly Project Drives 2nd Stage Mill No. 6

PROBLEM: The mill / machine 6 is installed (a) in Puerto Isaacs, Yumbo. It is a dedicated machine for the production of white papers for writing. Carton de Colombia SA, requires the replacement of the mechanical transmission of the machine and to get the objective it will require relocating some area teams that interfere with the new provision of equipment.
SOLUTION:

  • Remove all current transmissions machine / mill No.6.
  • Remove all spacers and current pipelines of the machine / mill No.6.
  • Remove all existing structures of the machine / mill No.6.
  • Fit the new transmissions of the machine / mill No.6.
  • Mount the spacers and associated piping from the machine / mill No.6.
  • Installing new structures to support the new transmissions and separated from the machine / mill No.6.

RESULTS: the change of all the mechanical transmission of the mill 6 and their corresponding supports, steel structures.

Maintenance Cal Kiln

PROBLEMA: High vibrations in the transmission and damage in the support roller.
SOLUCIÓN: Adjustment of the sprocket bolts and alignment as well the replacement in the state roll.
RESULTADOS: Decreased vibration and protection of the cold tire of the kiln.

Replacement of cold Wheel in the lime kiln in Plant 1

PROBLEM: Deviation in the kiln´s rotation axis which was causing constant damages in the bearings and refractory loss.
SOLUTION: Alignment of the whole system and maintenance of bearings.
RESULTS: Operation at lower temperatures in bearings, which reduces pressure between rollers and wheel. Reduction of wear in other pieces, lower temperature operation between pinion-crown tooth wheel. Optimal operation in equipment.
